As in previous years, our employees decided to make Christmas more pleasant for the clients of the Home for the Elderly in Brno-Bohunice, which is managed by the organization Naděje. For each of the clients we prepared a gift package filled with cosmetics, Christmas tea, scented candles, sweets and other small things that grandmothers and grandfathers wanted. The gift for the home also included a year’s subscription to the popular magazines Sedmička, Týdeník Květy and Vlasta. We also purchased workbooks focused on memory training, which the home’s staff can use with the seniors during various activation activities throughout the year.
We personally brought the gifts to the home and spent time with the seniors on this occasion. Thanks to one of our colleagues, who plays the guitar well, we were able to sing Christmas carols and enjoy a nice pre-Christmas moment. The singing, smiles and shared joy created a beautiful festive atmosphere. It was clear that personal meetings and time together are perhaps the most precious gifts for the elderly.
We have been cooperating with the Home for the Elderly in Brno-Bohunice for a long time and we try to bring joy to seniors not only at Christmas. Every year in April we organize a running and walking challenge, where for every kilometer run or walked our company donates a financial gift to the home. The more kilometres we run together, the more money we donate to the home.
We would like to thank all of our employees who participated in this Christmas tradition for their willingness to help, and we wish the clients of the Home for the Elderly in Brno-Bohunice a peaceful and joyful Christmas.
