Easter visit from the Children’s Home Černá Voda

At the end of March we welcomed a nice visit from the Černá Voda Children’s Home at our Brno branch. Just like last year, the children came to us with their Easter products, which we had the opportunity to buy from them. And again they brought with them a lot of energy, joy and skill.

Easter Fair

On Monday 30th March around noon, Amálka, Nela and Katarina from the Černá Voda Children’s Home together with their tutor Dan arrived at our Brno branch to organize a small Easter fair. After a few hours on the road, they enthusiastically set about preparing and then selling the products they had helped to create.

The tables were quickly filled with a variety of beautiful spring decorations, homemade gingerbread and baked tea. The interest of our staff was huge and within a short while we almost bought everything the children brought. In addition, we bought some of the decorations as a company to brighten up our common areas and create a spring atmosphere – we immediately placed them around the company. It was obvious that the children were very happy when their work brought pleasure to others.

Bowling together as a bonus

This year we wanted the children’s visit to be more than just about selling Easter products, so we invited them to go bowling after the fair so they could enjoy their trip a little more. After all, they followed us for almost three hours, so we wanted to thank them.

The afternoon was spent in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere – there was no lack of cheering, support, laughter or healthy competition. For the kids it was an opportunity to try something new, for us it was a chance to slow down for a while and share time together a little differently than usual.

We are glad we could be part of their day and support their efforts. Thank you to Amálka, Nela, Katarina and Dan for visiting us – and we look forward to seeing you again.

Children’s home Černá Voda

The Černá Voda Children’s Home is located in the Jeseníky Mountains and provides foster family care for children without a stable background. Since 2004 it has been operating as a family-type home with an emphasis on individual approach and preparation of children for independent life. It has a capacity of 24 children aged 3 to 18 living in three separate family groups.

It has long been cooperating with our partner foundation Srdce na palmani, which supports children’s homes across the Czech Republic. We are glad that thanks to such meetings we can further develop our cooperation with the Foundation and direct our support where it really makes sense.

Long-term cooperation with the Foundation

Cooperation with the Heart on the Palm Foundation is not a one-off activity for us. Since 2022, we have acted as its general partner and have long supported projects aimed at children from orphanages – from education and leisure activities to helping them enter independent life.
