M Computers Named “Cycling Employer of the Year” for the City of Brno

9. 7. 2026

We’re thrilled that you’ve joined this year’s challenge “Bike to Work” not only shared experiences and hard-earned kilometers, but also a wonderful award. M Computers has been named Cycling-Friendly Employer of the Year for the City of Brnoat the Silver Cycling-Friendly Employer level .

What does certification entail?

The award is given to companies that actively support sustainable transportation, create better conditions for employees who bike to work, and encourage their teams to be physically active on a regular basis. As part of the certification process, employers can achieve different levels based on the criteria they meet. In our case, we have achieved the Silver Cycle-Friendly Employer level.

Companies are evaluated in four main thematic areas in accordance with European standards:

  • Infrastructure: Accessible, spacious, and secure bike racks, changing rooms, and showers.
  • Facilities: Availability of bicycle repair tools at the workplace or company bicycles.
  • Corporate Culture: Rewards for cyclists, providing bike repair services, such as mobile repair services.
  • Promotion: Active support for campaigns such as the “Bike to Work” challenge.

For us, this award is a nice confirmation that even small steps in corporate culture can have a meaningful impact.

We accepted the award at the Open Garden

The awards ceremony took place in the pleasant setting of Brno’s Open Garden. We received the award from the Partnership Foundation, which has introduced the European “Certified Cycling Employer” standard to the Czech Republic.

The entire event had a very pleasant atmosphere and served as a wonderful conclusion to this year’s challenge, in which approximately 220 companies and 850 teams participated in Brno.

Winning the “Cycling-Friendly Employer of the Year” award for the city of Brno is both a source of joy and motivation for us to continue supporting active lifestyles and more sustainable transportation.

We would like to thank the Partnership Foundation for this kind recognition, and a big thank you also goes to our employees, who actively participated in the challenge. Thanks to them, we were reminded once again in May that the commute to work can be not only practical, but also healthier, more sustainable, and more fun.
