Our company has become a Silver bicycle employer – an officially certified employer that contributes to improving the conditions in the workplace for daily cycling for its employees.

What is a Certified Cycling Employer

Certification is a European standard used to improve workplace conditions for the daily transport of your workers by bike. The Certified Bike Employer is based on the results of the international European project Bike2Work supported by the European Union. Czech certification and its levels are compatible with the European standard Cycle Friendly Employer Certification. The European standard has been slightly modified (primarily the scoring of individual measures) to match the conditions in the Czech Republic.

What certification is for

The primary goal of the certification is to improve workplace conditions for employees to commute to work by bicycle. Certification allows companies to take responsibility for the transport options of their employees and to improve these options through implemented measures. The certification shows the range of ways in which a company can improve the conditions for cycling in its workplace. Certification contributes to better transport in the city, a better environment and improved health and mental well-being of employees.

How did our company get the certification?

In order to be certified as a cycling employer, certain criteria must be met in terms of information, communication and motivation, coordination and organisation, service and operation, infrastructure, parking management as a support tool, customers and their possible cycling.

From these areas, our company supports, organises or provides for its employees, for example:

participation in the Bike to Work competition

own mobility competitions within the company – in our case running challenges

company bike tours

company set of cyclonic tools at the workplace

bicycle shelter, anti-theft protection and illuminated bicycle parking
