Together with our customers we help children: the Christmas encryption and support of Srdce na dlani

As part of our long-term partnership with the Srdce na dlani Foundation, we once again supported their incredible work this year with a CZK 300,000 donation, helping them continue to assist children from orphanages. But our support doesn’t stop there.

Last year, we decided to make our holiday greeting for customers a bit different. In addition to the traditional New Year’s card, we created a small challenge – a cipher that combined fun with a good cause. Those who successfully cracked the code could either receive a CZK 500 discount for our e-shop or choose to donate the same amount through our company to Srdce na dlani.

And how did it turn out? Read on to find out!

Our customers have their hearts in the palm of their hands

This year’s Christmas card was enriched with a hidden cipher. Attentive customers could discover it on their PF, and if they deciphered it correctly (even with a little help from one of our merchants), a reward awaited them. They could choose between a discount voucher worth 500 CZK to our e-shop Lenovoshop.cz or donate the 500 CZK through our company to children from children’s homes in cooperation with the Foundation Srdce na dlani.

We were really pleased with the result. Almost all those who discovered and successfully cracked the cipher decided to forgo their reward in favour of a good cause. Thanks to them, we were able to add another CZK 31,000 to our corporate contribution, bringing the total donated to a beautiful CZK 331,000 to help children from orphanages.

Long-term cooperation with the Foundation

But our cooperation with the Srdce na dlani organisation is not just about one-off events. It is a long-term partnership and we are a general partner of the organization since 2022, which we are very proud of. The symbolic donation cheque was presented to the organisation as part of an experiential weekend when children from all five partner orphanages of the Srdce na dlani Foundation came to Prague and our colleague Petr Plodík prepared a musical performance for the children as part of a varied programme. This donation will help support specific projects that Srdce na dlani implements, such as various educational courses, leisure activities for children, as well as individual support for those who are preparing to leave the orphanage and enter independent life.
