Another great year: the Sports Weekend with Srdce na dlani

As an exclusive partner Srdce na dlani we have once again partnered with Lenovo to visit the children from the children’s home (CH). Our colleagues Petr Plodík, Lukáš Vach and Michael Souček spent a weekend full of sports, laughter and unforgettable experiences with their families and the children from CH. This time we met in the picturesque Krásná Lípa.

There was a great group of 40 participants at the event. The host was the Children’s Home Krásná Lípa, but it was far from over – children from CH Holeje also arrived and a huge hat off to the trippers from CH Černá Voda, who were not discouraged by the five-hour journey. The weather was 100% in our favor, which was perfect for our busy program.

Sports, exciting matches and hockey cheering

We started the weekend with a trip to the beautiful nature of Bohemian Switzerland. We hiked and biked, climbed rock outcroppings and enjoyed great views. Along the way, we were refreshed by an unusual meadow bar and we fought off our hunger after a challenging hike with a stylish lunch of pizza and gyros right on a flowering meadow.

Not only during the trip we worked up a good sweat, but also during exciting “matches” in the sports complex, when we played tennis, beach volleyball, basketball and of course football. The younger children enjoyed a great mini golf tournament. The crown of the sports weekend was added by the Czech Republic vs Slovakia World Cup hockey match on Saturday, which we watched together. The atmosphere was great and the victory of our hockey players put a smile on everyone’s face.

The evening belonged to well-deserved relaxation around the campfire. The sausages were roasted, Petr Plodík pulled out his guitar and we sang long into the night by the fire.

It was a weekend of pure joy, exercise and new friendships. We are extremely proud to be able to support the Srdce na dlani for the long term and help create moments for children from orphanages that they will remember fondly. A big thank you to our colleagues, organizers and most importantly the children themselves for their energy and enthusiasm!
