What are the advantages of owning a server?
You have full control over the server. You are not limited to web hosting services (supported databases and scripting languages, protocol settings, updates, and more). Your server is not shared. In other words, no other users run your processes or scripts on it that can be dangerous for system performance and stability. In the case of a shared server, the risk of data theft or loss also increases. One physical server can replace tens to hundreds of web hosting projects. The server is a regular computer. It can run a variety of applications. Last but not least, you can also use the server’s storage space to store and backup data that you can access from anywhere via the Internet.
